NEWS: Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the NIAID at NIH and Medical Advisor to President Biden was interviewed on CNN by Anderson Cooper on August 14, 2021. Dr. Fauci said the new Delta variant is 1,000 times the viral load in the nose and nasopharynx compared to the original Alphavirus. This makes it is much more transmittable. It means we must do everything we can to reduce the viral load in the nose and nasopharynx BEFORE it enters the mucosal cells and becomes infective in order to help prevent the disease. This applies to vaccinated as well as unvaccinated people who are at greater risk.
